We would like to share some impressions from our northern Chile roadtrip last July, especially from our visit to the splendid Atacama desert. The Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) near San Pedro de Atacama in northern Chile offers one of the best desert viewing opportunities in the world. The color palette changes that take place early in the day just before and after sunrise, and also at dusk, is a joy for the eyes. Warm orange and chocolate brown shift to gold, pastel pink, purple and impressive reds before night falls. Let the silence of the desert speak for itself......
